ARTSMH Main Creative Group

JOIN ZOOM ROOM

The ARTSMH Creative Group meet regularly over zoom (once per week), in which we explore the benefits of the arts to our mental health through different medium of the arts. The medium of arts currently includes Painting, Drawing, Crafts, 3D, Music, Drama and Dance. Come join us to create artwork, relax and build valuable friendships with students from different institutions.

DETAIL

○ During each session (once per week), one art medium will be used. For instance, Week 1: Painting& Drawing; Week 2: Music...)

○ All students who are an ARTSMH member can participate in the ARTSMH Creative Group. Sign up for your free membership here.

○ Students from institutions that have ARTSMH branch could still join the ARTSMH Main Creative Group.

○ Group leaders and members could initiate collaborative projects to be conducted, in which new sub-groups will be opened. (e.g. A collaborative music project)

○  We will provide support: art skills training, artists references, and information about psychology (through talks and publications)

○ We are not going to provide any therapies for members since we do not hold the required qualifications as students. However, we do provide a relaxing and comfortable bubble for members to express themselves and support each other as friends while creating artwork together.

○ We strive to create an annual exhibition and performance towards the end of each academic year (June- August), in which members can showcase their artwork if wish to.

External Creative Groups

(University/School ARTSMH Branch)

University/School-based Creative groups are small art groups that are conducted under the institution's ARTSMH Branch. These are exclusive to students studying in particular institutions. University/school-based Creative groups can follow the ARTSMH main model or create subdivision groups. We however strongly suggest adapting the latter model, with at least four of the following groups: Drawing, Crafts, Music, Drama and Dance.

If you do not have an ARTSMH Branch in your school/university, please participate in the Main ARTSMH Creative Group.
