In this talk, Dr. Keri Wong will guide us in exploring how the arts (e.g. painting, music) affect our emotions and mental wellbeing.
Speaker Information:
Dr. Keri Wong is an Assistant Professor in Psychology at University College London (UCL), a British Psychological Society Chartered Psychologist (CPsychol), Associate Fellow (AFBPsS) and an artist. Her research interests are understanding children's mental health across different cultures and the developmental causes of antisocial behaviours and schizophrenia-spectrum disorders. She received her PhD in Social and Developmental Psychology from the University of Cambridge, and continued to conduct research about the mitigating factors of antisocial behaviour and childhood mental wellbeing. She is Principal Investigator of the UCL-Penn Global Covid Study, an online survey investigating the effects of COVID-19 on mental health, physical health and social trust (www.GlobalCovidStudy.com).
