ABOUT
ARTS FOR MENTAL HEALTH

We are a student-led non-profit that hopes to provide students who are interested in both art and psychology the opportunity to explore, experience, and learn together. All university students (worldwide) are welcome to join our free membership in which you can participate in our creative groups, submit articles to be published on our website, join our art workshops, participate in our psychology and art-related talks, take up volunteering roles, be updated about the latest psychology research findings, relevant external events/ volunteering opportunities, as well as show your artwork in our exhibitions & performances. Come join us to explore the power of art and broaden your psychology and mental health knowledge.
OUR GOALS
We aim to promote mental health through the arts (e.g. drawing, painting, music, dance, sculpting…) and act as a platform for students to grow their knowledge and interest in arts and psychology. All university students are welcome to join our free membership.
OUR SERVICES FOR MEMBERS•
• Participate in our Psychology and Arts-related talks
Learn about Psychology & Arts-related topics from professionals and artists. The talks and sharings are relevant to the term theme (Each term has its own distinct theme, three months per term). Topics include career information, sharing, informative knowledge, workshops...
• Join our Art Workshops
We hold workshops for students to explore different artistic skills and develop a passion for arts, in hope that this can act as a channel for you to obtain better mental health.
• Take up Volunteering and Leadership Roles
We provide good opportunities for you at ARTSMH to boost your work experiences and also benefit the community e.g. your school community, campus...
• Submit Articles to be published on our website
Get your work published on our website to share your thoughts with students and professionals in the field.
• Participate in our Creative Groups (Temporality Paused)
Creative groups allow students across the world to work on their artwork together while building valuable friendships with like-minded students. Creative Group leaders will guide the weekly zoom sessions according to the term theme. Our creative group leaders are all university students who can provide mentoring assistance for sixth form students in relation to their university preparation if they wish to major in psychology or arts-related subjects. A good opportunity for networking, obtaining better mental health and to learn about psychology-related topics in a fun and relaxed environment.
• Get monthly updates on the latest Psychology Research Findings.
Being aware of the latest research findings boosts your knowledge and allow better application into new creations and discoveries.
• Get updates on the latest relevant external events/ volunteering opportunities
Volunteer at charities to learn more about the power of arts, psychology and obtain some valuable work experiences.
• Promote your artwork through our platform and participation in our exhibitions & performances
